A few people emailed us stating that Hasbro is cancelling their orders for The Black Series 40th Anniversary 6" figures that were available on Saturday.
I decided to reach out to HasbroToyShop.com and they stated that they are in the process of cancelling orders for those that placed multiple orders of the same figures (or if your credit card was declined).
Per HasbroToyShop.com, "As these are exclusive (they are not exclusive BTW) items there is a strict 1 per household limit. Your first order will ship. The duplicate orders even though authorized will be canceled and the charge will be taken off any credit card used".
So if you needed more then one of each figure, you will have to wait and preorder them from a online retailer or wait to find them at a Brick and Mortar store. Don't give into the scalpers on Ebay, these should be just about everywhere in March / April.
In this installment of Rebels Recon, we take a look at the Star Wars Rebels episode "Legacy of Mandalore," in which Sabine returns home to Krownest, looking to recruit her mother and Clan Wren to the rebel cause. Host Andi Gutierrez sits down to discuss the episode with the show's creators and stars, including Dave Filoni, Pablo Hidalgo, Tiya Sircar, Henry Gilroy, and more.
HasbroToyShop.com now lists the first wave of The Black Series 6" Carded figures as "in stock". The first wave consists of Han, Luke, Leia, R2, and Obi-Wan. Price is $19.99 each with a limit of 1 of each figure per order.
As of this post, Amazon is taking orders on 5 of the 6 figures from The Black Series Wave 9 if your still in need of them. Revan is sold out as expected. Figures are sold and shipped by Amazon. Prices range from $11.08 to $23.75 per figure and the ship dates are different on some of the figures.

Still dialing in my new camera, but managed to get some photos finished of The Black Series 6" 37: Baze Malbus figure. The sculpt looks great and has plenty of articulation. He includes a Heavy Repeating Cannon and a Taser. Please enjoy our new HD Photos!
The Black Series 6" 34: Darth Revan figure has been added to our HD Photo Gallery today. Personally think this is one awesome looking figure. Revan is super articulated as expected and includes 2 Lightsabers.
Unfortunately these have yet to hit Brick and Mortar Stores in large numbers. The only retail stores it has trickled into so far is GameStop and ThinkGeek. If your looking for this figure your best bet is online stores like our sponsors.
Just finished photographing The Black Series 6" 33: Sabine Wren figure and have added her to our HD Photo Gallery today. This includes Box, loose, and variations.
These photos are from my new camera which I think look pretty awesome. Also since I have a lot more pixels to work with, I will be increasing our HD Photos size by about 40% over our previously photos, which were already impressive. Enjoy!
After a much needed break from photography for the past few months (been doing this since 1995) I am refreshed and ready to get back into it. I have decided to also retired my 10 year old digital camera that to this day produced some of the highest quality photos out there and bought a new camera and lenses.
I am in the process of creating all new digital filters and tools for my new camera, to process these new photos. This new camera produces some amazing high detailed photos and has allowed me to increase our already large photos by about 40% with even better detail that I was able to get with my old camera.
Also I will be working on restoring our older HD Photo Galleries, which was corrupted by a catastrophic Server failure a while back.
Another paint application update from Hasbro. This time its on The Black Series 6" 23 Captain Cassian Andor (EADU) figure. They have thinned out his Goatee and changed the color from black to brown. Also eyebrows changed from black to brown as well.
• 1st (DS 61681): Black Eyebrows & Goatee.
• 2nd (DS 63131): Brown Eyebrows & Goatee.
I have included a comparison photo above. Old version on the left and newer on the right.
Hasbro has updated the paint application on The Black Series Imperial Death Trooper figure. The newer application looks much cleaner on the helmet and they have changed the vent colors from a gray to a dark charcoal color. Also the green circles at the base of the Helmet have been omitted as well for some reason. The newer figures were packed in the The Black Series 6" Wave 6 case (which includes Baze Malbus).
• 1st (DS 62231): Gray painted vents - green circles. • 2nd (DS 63131): Dark Charcoal painted vents - No green circles.
I have included a comparison photo above. Old version on the left and newer on the right.
Hasbro's PR has sent us a Press Release along with some product photos on some of the new Black Series products we can expect this year. The Press Release is below and you can check out the Product Photos on our Facebook Page.

Back at last years San Diego Comic Con when we spoke with Hasbro about the poor / messy paint applications on The Black Series 6' figures, they stated they were working on a new way to apply paint applications onto the figures so they look much cleaner and more accurate. Well it looks like they have begun doing so starting with the Rey figure that we reported about last month and now Jyn gets updated as well.
Just found a Sergeant Jyn Erso (Jedha) figure with the updated paint applications on her face which include eyes, eyebrows, and lips. This was found in The Black Series 6" Wave 6 case (which includes Baze Malbus). I posted a quick comparison photo above. Old on the left and new on the right.
• 1st version - (DS 61681) • 2nd version - (DS 63131)
In this installment of The Star Wars Show, Pablo Hidalgo visits the Rogue One set and talks aliens with head of the creature shop Neal Scanlan, we reveal some major Marvel Star Wars news, talk with Laura Jane Grace, and much more!
Went to my local Toys R Us today hoping to find the newer waves of the Black Series 6" figures, but unfortunately they just restocked all the pegs with the first Wave of Rogue One figures again (UGH!!!). This assortment also includes the 02: Rey (Jakku) & BB-8.
While flipping through the Rey figures, I noticed that her face looked a bit different then the White and Tan flesh tone variants we reported about a few weeks ago. This one seems more like a transition between these 2 variations. She has whitish flesh and the updated face paint applications. All six of the Rey figures they had were all painted like this and shared the same date stamp of 61751.
Variations: • 1st Version (DS 60681): Whitish Flesh Tone On Face
• 2nd Version (DS 61751): Whitish Flesh Tone On Face - Updated Face Paint Applications
• 3rd Version (DS 61871): Tan Flesh Tone On Face
You can view a comparison photo above, or visit the figures page for larger photos.
