Photographed and added to our Photo Gallery today is The Black Series 6-Inch 40th Anniversary Darth Vader figure. This version of Vader comes from the Return of the Jedi Movie.
Hasbro basically took a preexisting Darth Vader Body (which is not a bad thing) and created a new Head which resembles actor Sebastian Shaw, Helmet Mask, and Helmet Dome to create this figure. The figure does look great, but there are some issues with the Helmet’s Mask. It does not snap into place and kind of just sits on top of the Lower Helmet’s ridges. Because it’s not a tight fit, you can see some gaps between the Mask and the Lower part of the Helmet.
As expected this figure does have lots of articulation and stands and poses easily. He includes a Lightsaber Hilt, Lightsaber Blade, Removable Mask, Removable Helmet and Interchangeable Right Hands.
This figure is a Main Line release and was released in 2023 with a retail price of $24.99
