HasLab Mos Eisley Cantina Q&A With Hasbro - Same Packaging For Basic & Deluxe? Future Figures?

We attended Hasbro’s HasLab The Vintage Collection Mos Eisley Cantina Webinar today. It was a little bit of a different format then past Q&A sessions. We were to send in 3 questions about the HasLab The Vintage Collection Mos Eisley Cantina along with everyone else attending. Hasbro would then select which questions to answer. There was a chance that none of our questions would be answered, but 2 of the 3 were selected.

Hasbro has also sent us some new images which shows dimensions of the Set and everything included. If you wish to back this project be sure to get your orders in at Hasbro Pulse before time expires in about 12 days.

Q1. Will there be 2 different Packaging (Boxes) for the  Mos Eisley Cantina Base and Deluxe Playsets? Or will Hasbro just use the same sized box and design for both, with just a notation on which version you bought via a sticker or printed text on the Box?

Hasbro Answer:
Chris:

The Base offering will come in that classic Vintage Collection HasLab style packaging. The Deluxe offering will come in that same Box as the Base offering, but it will also include an additional separate standard brown box that will house the additional pieces for the Deluxe offering. Both of those parts for the Deluxe Offering will be in the same shipper, so they will still come together, but you will have the fancy retail box plus the standard brown box.

The goal was not to create a retail packaging variant between the 2 offerings.

Q2. Any announcements or plans to release future Cantina Aliens / Creature / Character Sets to support the longevity of this Playset? It would be a great selling point for people to back this HasLab project now.

Jing:

We just Pipeline one at the start of this Q&A (Hammerhead) and it’s a great example of us wanting to continue to support this Cantina and this world building. We have also announced we have a World building plan in The Vintage Collection with “Return To Tatooine”. With all HasLab Campaigns we want to continue supporting these product lines as much as possible. We done it with past campaigns.

We can’t speak about things not currently announced but we are very excited with the “Return To Tatooine” program and what the future could hold with this HasLab.

Q3. How did you guys finally lock down the rights to produce the Tonnika Sisters figures? Over the years it been said it would never happen because the actresses would not sign a waiver / contract with Hasbro allowing you guys to use their likeness. Was this all hearsay and Hasbro never seen the need to make them until now?
