Found at Texas Target! Exclusive TBS 6-Inch The Mandalorian & Grogu First Edition Wave 2 Figures (Including Zeb)... But There's a Catch

For the past few weeks, I’ve been checking my local Houston Target stores for The Black Series 6-inch The Mandalorian & Grogu First Edition White Box Wave 2 figures, using Deluxe Zeb’s DPCI 087-26-4706 to track inventory.

This morning, one of my local stores showed eight Zeb figures in stock, but there wasn’t a location assigned to them yet. An employee suggested I check back later that evening.

When I returned, I couldn’t find the display anywhere in the Star Wars aisle, so I asked an employee for assistance. She looked up Zeb’s DPCI and confirmed there still wasn’t a location assigned, but said she might be able to locate the display in the stockroom. About ten minutes later, she returned and told me she had found it. Unfortunately, she couldn’t bring the display out because there wasn’t room for it on the sales floor yet, but she offered to retrieve whichever figures I wanted.

I asked for two Deluxe Zeb figures along with one each of Snowtrooper, Embo, Mercenary Guard Droid, and IG-11.

After thanking her, I headed to self-checkout. Deluxe Zeb scanned without any issues at $34.99. However, when I scanned the Snowtrooper, Embo, Mercenary Guard Droid, and IG-11 figures, none of their UPCs were recognized by Target’s system.

At that point, I thought for sure I was going to be told I couldn’t purchase them.

A customer service employee tried searching for the figures in Target’s system but couldn’t find them. He then asked what the retail price was, and I told him they were $27.99 each. Since they weren’t in the system yet, he decided to ring them up using a generic service DPCI instead.

Interestingly, the system would only allow him to charge $20 each under that service DPCI. I pointed out that they were supposed to be $27.99, but he simply smiled and said not to worry about it.

The takeaway: Deluxe Zeb is currently scanning correctly in Target’s system, but Snowtrooper, Embo, Mercenary Guard Droid, and IG-11 are not. If you’re lucky enough to find the display early, you may run into checkout issues until Target updates its system.

Also, remember these figures are Walmart and Target in-store exclusives. Interestingly, the First Edition White Box Deluxe Zeb was not included in Walmart’s display assortment, so it’s still unclear if—or when—it will arrive at Walmart stores.

Happy hunting!
