Several of our readers have asked what the differences are between the 2022 and 2026 The Black Series 6-inch Boba Fett figures based on Droids: The Adventures of R2-D2 and C-3PO. To help answer that question, we’ve put together a few quick comparison photos.
The 2022 release was a Target exclusive packaged in a comic-style box, while the 2026 release is a Fan Channel exclusive featuring carded packaging.
As for the figure itself, it appears to use the same sculpt as the 2022 release. The most noticeable differences are the updated paint applications, with several color and finish changes throughout the figure.
It’s still a bit of a puzzling re-release, as this wasn’t exactly a figure many collectors were requesting. That said, if you missed the original Target exclusive—or simply prefer the carded presentation—this version may be worth adding to your collection.
